Garden State Lighthouse
White House Easter Egg

Every Spring the White House selects an artist to represent their state with a decorated “real chicken egg” for a National Decorated Egg display at Easter. Arlene was honored to represent the State of New Jersey, also known as the “Garden State”, with a lighthouse encircled with flowers displaying the
famous shoreline and gardens.

In addition, Arlene also painted two Christmas ornaments for the White House Christmas Tree in 1999 and 2005 which will remain as part of the permanent ornament collection.
